The Ozark Chapter of the Disabled American Veterans will be holding a fundraiser on the 3rd and 4th of September 2010 on the corner of Hwy 123 and Roy Parker Road in Ozark. Boston Butts, Ribs and BBQ plates will be available. Boston Butts and Ribs ($20.00 tax deductable donation) BBQ Plates ($5.00 tax deductable donation). Please contact Harry Granger at 797-9052 or Art Miller at 678-9270 to preorder or for more information. All funds collected will be used to assist veterans and their family members.

Malvern Volunteer Fire Department is holding a Blood Drive on Saturday, 11 September 2010 from 8 am – 12 pm at Fire House ( 153 Ward St behind Malvern Baptist Church ) in Malvern , AL . It will be dedicated to IN LOVING MEMORY to our FALLEN HEROS from 9/11 as a brotherhood from Firefighters. In return, it helps out the surrounding Communities in need for blood. Also, during this time A Boot Drive will be held for donations from 8 – 3 in Malvern area. The Firefighters are trying to raise money to help their firehouse.
